Vault protocol overview
The OrdiFi vault protocol introduces Ordinal Value Containers (OVCs): Bitcoin-native vaults that can hold capital and, in some variants, route it into staking or compounding strategies.
Ordinal Value Containers (OVCs)
An OVC is a container that links an on-chain ordinal to underlying capital such as BTC or STX. The goal is to create clearly defined, auditable vaults with minimal admin control and transparent behaviour.
Product families
- Sovereign vaults: security-first, isolated vaults focused on robust self-custody and minimal attack surface.
- Compounding vaults: vaults that route assets into staking or yield strategies with clearly defined rules.
For the initial launch the focus is on the art layer and on testing the first sovereign vaults in a controlled way.
Status and roadmap
Vault contracts are under active development and will only be deployed after additional testing. This page describes intentions and design goals, not a live product with guarantees.
