Entities

Persistent autonomous identities that use language models as replaceable reasoning engines.
What is an Entity?
Identity and continuity exist outside the language model.
An OrdiFi Entity is a persistent software identity composed of independent layers. The language model is used for reasoning, interpretation and communication, but it is not the Entity itself.
Why not just an LLM prompt?
A prompt can describe a role. It does not create persistent identity.
A prompt depends on the current model and session. An Entity keeps identity, policy, tools, economic ownership, training and memory separate from the LLM. The reasoning engine can therefore be replaced without replacing the Entity.
Core Layers
IdentityLayer
Defines the persistent identity of the Entity. Identity is independent from the LLM and can remain stable across model, hardware and runtime changes.
PolicyLayer
Defines permissions, restrictions and behavioral boundaries. Policy determines what an Entity is allowed to do, regardless of what the LLM suggests.
ToolGateway
Connects the Entity to tools, APIs, wallets and Machines. It translates intent into controlled and verifiable actions.
TrainingLayer
Provides externally taught knowledge, procedures and domain-specific capabilities. Training is separate from experience.
MemoryLayer
Stores lived experience, learned states and continuity over time. Memory belongs to the Entity, not to the currently attached LLM.
Wallet
Provides economic identity, ownership and signing capability. Wallets allow Entities to hold assets, interact with Machines and participate in economic activity.
Continuity
The Entity remains while individual technical components can change.

Learning
Knowledge, experience and reflection are separate processes.
Training
Externally taught knowledge and procedures.
Memory
Experience accumulated through the Entity's own history.
Reflection
New understanding derived from experience, conflict and evaluation.
Execution
Reasoning and authority remain separate.

Goal
Persistent autonomous agents that can operate over long periods, accumulate experience, use different reasoning engines and interact with economic systems without losing identity or continuity.
