Flickerbox

Flickerbox is a membership artwork on Bitcoin. It functions as identity (member card) and unlocks a collector experience inside OrdiFi from day one.

Role in the ecosystem

  • Identity: Flickerbox acts as your Member Card (asset-bound account).
  • Access: unlocks member home personalization and collector surfaces.
  • Culture: the genesis art layer that anchors OrdiFi’s presentation system.

Day-one utility (intentional)

OrdiFi is designed to avoid empty collectibles. Flickerbox holders should get meaningful value immediately — not “mint now, utility later”.

  • Member Home (art home upgraded on wallet connect)
  • Free Flickerbox Case mint (tx fee only, once verification is available)
  • Showroom surfaces for exhibition and collection management
  • Desktop Album download for local collecting

Identity model: the Flickerbox is the account

In OrdiFi, the Flickerbox is not “owned by an account” — the Flickerbox is the account. Username and avatar are derived from the asset.

  • Wallet connection verifies ownership by inscription ID.
  • On transfer, personalization resets by design.
  • Owners may optionally export preferences using a local transfer token (privacy-first, opt-in).

See: Membership & identity.

Two originals: identity vs presentation

The Flickerbox and the Flickerbox-in-Case are two distinct originals. The Flickerbox represents identity. The Case represents presentation inside the OrdiFi showroom.

The system does not force a single definition of value. Some collectors may value the Flickerbox as identity, others may value the curated presentation more. OrdiFi provides the structure — collectors decide.

Member unlocks (launch vs post-launch)

Launch (guaranteed build scope)

  • Member Home personalization surface
  • Showroom base (vitrines / albums / suitcases via levels)
  • Desktop Album download
  • Flickerbox Case mint (tx fee only) once verification and required IDs are available

Post-launch (planned, demand-driven)

  • Members-only merchandise (e.g., Flickerbox frames on apparel)
  • Physical presentation products (frames, acrylic blocks)
  • Mailbox (no email) as an opt-in member communication surface

Notes for collectors

Flickerbox membership is designed to be compatible with the broader ordinals ecosystem. Standard Cases are not restricted to members: any ordinal collector can participate in the collector infrastructure.
