Flickerbox membership & identity
Flickerbox is a membership artwork on Bitcoin. In OrdiFi, the Flickerbox is not “owned by an account” — the Flickerbox is the account.
Core idea: the Flickerbox is the account
Username, avatar and member presence are derived from the Flickerbox itself. This follows a Web3-first identity model: identity is owned, not registered.
- No standalone profile that “owns” a Flickerbox — the Flickerbox defines the profile.
- Wallet connect identifies membership by verifying ownership of the Flickerbox inscription ID.
- Account state is optional and scoped to personalization and collector UX (not custody).
Transfer behavior: reset by design
When a Flickerbox changes hands, the associated member home and personalization state resets to a neutral baseline for the new owner. Personal data is not inherited by default.
- Prevents accidental transfer of personal content to a new collector.
- Creates clean ownership boundaries on secondary sales.
- Matches the principle: ownership defines identity.
Optional local transfer token (owner-controlled)
Before selling, an owner may generate a local transfer token on their own device. This token can be used later to import personal layouts/preferences into a newly acquired Flickerbox.
- Local by default (privacy-first).
- Optional — OrdiFi does not require it.
- Intended for personalization portability, not for transferring “identity”.
Launch unlocks (guaranteed scope)
OrdiFi is designed to be usable from day one. Flickerbox holders should get meaningful value immediately — not “mint now, utility later”.
Free Flickerbox Case mint (tx fee only)
As soon as inscription IDs are known and verification is available, holders can mint one Flickerbox Case for their Flickerbox (no price — tx fee only).
Member Home
Wallet connect upgrades your art home into a member home. Visual personalization (colors, tiles, layout) is optional and member-controlled.
Showroom for Cases
Collect and exhibit cases in vitrines, albums and collector suitcases. Levels unlock additional presentation surfaces.
Desktop Album download
A local album/showroom download for desktop collectors — focused on presentation and organization.
Level unlocks
Levels are tied to collector progression within OrdiFi (primarily cases inside the showroom). Current planned unlock milestones:
- L3 — Showcase unlock
- L10 — Album unlock
- L20 — Suitcase unlock
- L50 — Personal showroom space (presentation capacity up to ~100 cases)
Post-launch: planned, demand-driven
Some member benefits are intentionally planned for post-launch. They depend on real usage and practical production constraints.
- Members-only merchandise (e.g., Flickerbox frames on apparel)
- Physical presentation products (frames, acrylic blocks)
- Mailbox for communication (no email) — only if it adds clear value and can remain privacy-first
